We are running a competition in July. Someone will win a universe R3 DVD od Tomie: Forbidden Fruit.
All you need to do is submit some reviews and the person who gets the most reviews online in July 2005 will receive the DVD.
Remember to include your name (and screen name) country where you live and a score out of 5 for the films you review and the DVD could be on it's way to you.
Please submit reviews to reviews@koroshiya.co.uk

Someone found a way to motivate ppl on the board to submit reviews LOL Y'know, it's all fun and dandy to have a Review site, but searching for reviews on the net... google for example, somehow Koroshiya's site never comes up. I was searching for a review of a movie not too long ago, Google didnt had many choices, and turns out a review of that movie was right here, yet google didnt turned out the search. Does the site has to be registered somewhere to be added to some search engines? PS: And what's that? You're putting up for prize a movie that hasnt been reviewed? LOL

lol, you licking my lips mate ;D Koroshiya does come up on google for some things. Yes you do have to register/submit the site. I submit it every 2 weeks at least to about 200 search engines (google and all the big ones included) believe me I do hassle them But apart from that theres not a lot I can do, I have meta tags/keywords setup on all pages, I've done some research on words that should pick us up in the rankings and it is working. Not sure how often google spiders the site so not sure how long my updates take to get on there. So maybe the review you were looking for was pretty new on here and google hadn't got around to it yet. Also for reviews of less well known films we do better! For instance if you google Kyoko vs Yuki we are the number 1 site on google. If you try Razor sword of justice we come up num 6. Which I don't think is bad. problem with more popular films is there are just so many sites to compete with. I'm pretty proud that if you google Asian movie reviews we are number 17 now...I wasn't sure we were ever going to get anywhere with that. I do have software that checks your rankings and I'm pretty surprised at how far we've come on in the last few months. Slowly we are getting there on the search engines. The more popular the site gets the better we should come up on google, also if we get more links from other sites that helps as well which I'm trying to do. We will get there I think ;D

I'm also doing my part, at my work place, I'm kinda the video club for the whole building lol 80% of the pl there are really tired of the american cinema, and that's where I go see them and introduce them to the asian cinema. They all flip and each week I borrow my DVDs like between 1 to 3 DVDs per day. And I always tells them to check some reviews of the movies I'm suggesting to them... by givine them a link here... well not "here" but to the main site hoping they'll become regular

Thats really cool:) I've been sending out some flyers for people to put around video/DVD shops and things. Our daily hit average has gone up, last month most were 350ish hits a day but last 4 days running have been over 400 for the first time so the work is deff paying off:)
I'm just setting up mt rank chack software to check all film titles on the site to see how they all do:)
