Movie Reviews... but what about TV Series? Friend of mine has alot of Asian TV series, he's much more into TV than movies like I am. and today he made me discover "Forbidden Love" (Fox with Nine Tails TV series) it looks mighty impressive ( aznfilms.com/product_info.php/products_id/1715?osCsid=a6fe6b32743d3ad16a3346c84eee1e3a ) and if I remember correctly, I seen that boxset in my local Chinesse DVD store, I'll go check it out this week if I can get my hands on it But like I said, will it interest you to have TV Series Review?

Absolutely, I've already done a review myself of the old Lone Wolf & Cub TV series 1 from the 70's! So no reason not to add more. If we get a few going then would probably be worth doing a seperate index page for them. I have a few series here that I want to review at some point as well.
That forbidden love does look impressive:) Let us know what you thought is you do see it:)

they are on divx but some players will play them. I usually encode an episode in about 2 hours - 2 eps to a DVD. It takes about 5 hours to make with a menu on it. I did shinsengumi and Musashi from D-Addicts. 25 disks per series. The quality is pretty good but the sound is sometimes a little fuzzy and the odd ep has a few seconds missing but they are okay. My wife loves them.

I usually start a batch encodes before I go to sleep... when I wake up they're pretty much all done so I dont see a difference lol

What software you using for encode? 2 hours per ep not bad...but with long series can be a fecker!

To make the soft subs into Hard subs I use AVI SUBTITLER... it takes around 30min to an hour to hard sub a whole 2h movie once hard subbed, I use TMPGENC 3.0 XPRESS to encode... usually takes the same time that the movie's lenght is to encode... but all that differs depending on your computer... I remember when I was encoding on my old 550mhz... took 8hours to encode 1 movie.... but now on my 1.7ghz takes pretty much the same time as the movie. My guess is, if you have one heck of a bomb, it shouldn't take you too long lol

That doesn't sound too bad, I haven't done any encoding for an age.... I used to do quite a lot. Used to use tmpg but not V3 xpress and used to be pretty slow. I have a 2gig processor and plenty of RAM... maybe I'll give it a go again! I always used to do subs with virtualdub. I think i'll get some software and have a play A lot of those TV series not available!
